This paper is based on the public art design for Cultural Square ofNanshan District Shenzhen.Discuss how do we adapt to the new challengesand requirements of the city culture development in the background ofoverall deepen reformation and the national strategy of new urbanization.Try to explain how does public art contributes to the city culture andcultural identity.The paper discussed the relationship between city culture and public art,the relationship between cultural identity and public art.
