In the modern world, artists continue to collaborate the contemporary art with new materials; techniques and formulas to successfully achieve the effect of vision, touch and hearing.... Amongst those materials, techniques and formula, there is a small proportion comes from the traditional folk artIn Vietnam, the most outstanding traditional folk art is the lacquer paint. From its first development at Indochina Fine Arts College during the1930s until now, lacquer paint, as part of Vietnamese lacquer ware, has significantly become as a distinct genre to Vietnamese genre of fine art painting and it continues to growSo what are the causes and conditions can make the lacquer materials became the present Vietnamese lacquer painting? And in the future it will be how to develop. Explain the top issues, This paper presents brief history of the lacquer paint’s development and the modern lacquer techniques gathered from young Vietnamese artists.As an inheritor of this national folk art, we will remember the traditions that lie behind Vietnamese painting and will contribute toward the beauty of the Vietnamese culture...
