The effect of the nasopharyngeal cavity in singing is so essential that it can neverbe neglected. However, as it is a partial range throughout the whole singing system, itneeds to coordinate with the other human vocal organs while singing. The nasopharyngeal cavity is an important organ of resonance. And how to let itproduce resonance, how to open the posterior pharyngeal wall, and how to make themconnected with each other effectivelyvocal music once became a problem during theinitial stage of my vocal music study. And is is also the vocal music study which Ialways practiced and dug myself into later on and that I will go on concentrate on.Although with the help of Mr. Baimeng, I finally solved the problem after hardworking, as the saying which is popular among the the music circle goes "there is nomethod of vocal music", therefore, not only must we coordinate the nasopharyngealcavity resonance with opening the posterior pharyngeal wall while singing, but alsowe should connect with other resonant organs. What’s more, even if we gain the skill,it cannot exist forever. Only when it is practiced, adjusted and cooperated again andagain, can resonance last forever. And the sensitivity of ears is also very important, because the misjudgment of ears for sound will directly lead to the change of the pathand direction of vocal music. So vocal resonance especially nasopharyngeal cavityresonance is widely concentrated by singers both at home and abroad in singing. It is because it’s hard for me to gain the skill that I chose this topic in mygraduation paper. As far as I know, it is not enough to only depend on these twowell-trained vocal organs to serve the whole singing. They also must cooperate withother vocal organs skillfully. Meanwhile I wrote this paper very carefully for it’s onlytwo years as a postgraduate majoring in this study so that it is hard for me to expert onthis study because of this paper. There is also a long way to go after graduationbecause it is impossible for me to attain all the singing function in such a short time.Because of the limitation of the length of my paper, I can just demonstrate on thissubject by learning from Mr. Bai’s key teaching cases and my own learningexperience. In order to avoid isolated demonstration for the topic, I also absorbed some othervocal organs to help analyze and support my point in my paper. In order to confirmthe accuracy of my personal experience, I even looked up a large quantity ofinformation on vocal music to use for reference according to the common sense ofanatomy, physiology and other aspects. I hope my paper can help both vocal musicworkers and vocal music lovers to some extent to avoid such ineffective anduncomfortable experiences as I have ever gone through.
