Activist's Spiritual Dilemma

Struggle to survive under the living environment is one of everlasting motif winds at various periods of history, which reveal the true nature and strength of the literati’s character in different forms and circumstances. The Chinese contemporary transitional period bring out the discourse space and the double consciousness of enlightenment and national salvation, a variety of literary landscape have been derived from it. This thesis has analyzed in depth of Junyi Wei’s seeking for the spiritual purport in a unified ideology and survival context, the replacement of family concept shifted her survival field, in order to find the space range that could carry her life experiences.This paper uses the crisis of survival as a starting point, discussed the origin of Junyi Wei’s survival anxiety. This thesis illustrated the origin and the dynamic process of the formation and releases of her thought of turning back, this is one of the important factors leading to the occurrence of her ideological transformation, and highlighted the uniqueness of her life experience. As a representative of the radicals, Junyi faces several tough choices, normalization of the absurd events is not only the descriptive focus of the Chinese literature but also the Soviet literature, which is an important contributory factors in the silent type revolt. Cramped political atmosphere shielded the remaining space of personality, the sadness of the homeopathy lurking in. This paper focuses on the necessity of the individual resistance, spiritual dilemma is one of the hot topics in the literary world. Disappearing and emerging of the resistance is a constantly changing process, it includes the mental and behavioral resistance, and the former is a necessary foundation and motivation for the latter. In the pursuit of personal beliefs, a sense of attachment to political discourse, subconscious effect of personal feelings and the self-preservation in the face of adversity constitute the main causes of revolutionary’s obedience or revolt.〈The Road of Lu Sha〉built a track for the personal life experience.〈Reflection of Pain〉 constructed the spiritual coordinates of the contemporary intellectuals, premised on the respect for historical facts, described the joy and sorrow of the whole generation, forming a historical and literal double prophecy in the spiritual vortex, lingering the affections for the independent spirit and the reverence for life in the ups and downs of the torrent.
