The idea of "trust" is the foundation of the establishment and development of the modern western society and the soul of propelling the political, economic or ethical life moving on. Nevertheless, in modern western compared with its original meaning in ancient time, the word,"trust", is more and more explained to the conception of "credit" deprived off any ethical meaning. This evolution is not limited to the modern western society, but all over the world with the Globalization, which make people believe "credit" is the basic safeguard measures of the market economy. Thus, this evolution should be regard as the significant part of the ethical study of "trust". But, the separation between the idea of "trust" and its ontological foundation and historical process in traditional study results in the chaos of defining the concept of "trust" precisely in contemporary society, conflicting among several opinions, specifically the tension between the view of "trust" in virtue ethics and the view of "trust" in normative ethics. Therefore, this article intend to reveal Therefore, this article intend to reveal the transition from Nature Teleology in western ancient to Mechanical Materialism in modern time laid ontological foundation to the change from the view of "trust" in virtue ethics to the view of "trust" in normative ethics, and to distinguish the vital theoretical breakthroughs and deficiencies in the evolution. Accordingly, to understand the advantage and disadvantage of two views of "trust" sufficiently is necessary to promote the integration of both, to set up and to complete the modern concept of "trust" and to provide a multiplex perspective for new moral system.The thesis is constituted of three sections:introduction, content section and conclusion. The mainly content as followed:Introduction is a brief description of the theoretical origins of two kinds of the "trust" concept in contemporary, and an introduction of the huge changes of them. Emphasizing the root original Analysis is the directive thought of this article.The content section includes four parts. It is deal with the development of two kinds of "trust" concept and its ontology in the context of historical evolution.In first part, by virtue of the discussion of Nature Teleology and Theological Teleology in western ancient, I try to reveal the historical origin of two kinds of "trust" in virtue ethics, and the inevitable change from the "trust" in virtue ethics to the "trust" in normative ethics. In second part, through the interpretation of natural science on which modern "trust" concept is based, especially the key, mechanistic view of nature of Hobbes, the constructive reasons of establishment of the "trust" concept in normative ethics is described and summarized.In the third part, Ⅰ aim to summarize two different kinds concept of "trust" in normative ethics established by Rousseau and Kant in Hobbes’s context.In the fourth part Ⅰ am trying to put forward the critical introspections to the two kinds of "trust" thoughts.The conclusion is intend to raise the possibility of the integration of two kinds of "trust" concept and to indicate the problems we are going to encounter in the establishment of the new "trust" concept today.
