Through analyze it’s participation in the rctic Governance from different levelslike local,national and international cooperation, Indigenous peoples’organization(IPO) illustrated its role and effect in Arctic Governance, whoseinfluence on Global Governance will also be analyzed in this essay. Currently, thepossibility of resource utilization has been improved a lot due to the climate changeand Arctic countries strengthened the competition on Arctic resources.Correspondingly, how to achieve an effective Arctic Governance has became animportant issue.During the long-term fighting against the extreme climate, Indigenous people inArctic region have gradually formed the indigenous culture which adapted to theregional climate and environment. After the Cold War, international cooperation inrctic region has been gradually strengthened, more and more indigenous peoples’organization have been founded, meanwhile they have actively involved into Arcticregional Governance related to the indigenous peoples’ vital interests s the mostimportant cooperation institution in Arctic region, Arctic Council plays a crucial rolein rctic Governance Indigenous peoples’ organization not only fully participatedinto the preparatory work of Arctic Council, but also actively involved the work of itssubordinate working group. Besides, these IPOs voiced their own opinions on thelocal governance activities such as environment protection, sustainable development,co-management of resource, autonomy activities. Though the efforts of indigenouspeoples’ organization, the role of indigenous culture played in rctic Governance hasbeen fully recognized and broadly absorbed into different evaluation reports of ArcticCouncil ll the participation of indigenous peoples’ organization has efficientlyimproved local indigenous peoples’ rights and interestsIn the process of Global Governance, Indigenous peoples’ organization plays apositive role in areas like Arctic Governance and the protection of Arctic indigenouspeoples’ rights In addition to that, these IPOs broadly and deeply participated in thedrafting and revising work of Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples draftedby United Nations, though which indigenous peoples’ rights have been firmlydefended Indigenous peoples’ organization have become a crucial role in rcticGovernance, which has beneficially inspired China’s participation in relevant areas sa result, in the process of Arctic Governance, China shall seek good cooperationrelationships with Indigenous peoples’ organization as well as the regional rcticcountries.
