Bureaucracy is a guarantee for long-term peace and order of all dynasties’ rulingregime, and bureaucracy legislation of Tang Dynasty is a model for the prevention ofduty crime in ancient China. On the basis of deeply summarizing the experience of eachdynasty’s regime perdition and officer’s taking bribes, the ruler of Tang Dynastyspecifically stipulates the officer’s “six crimes of embezzlement” in “the Tang Dynasty”for the first time, which is very severe in the punishment of judicial practice. I intend toprobe and explain the establishment of “six crimes of embezzlement”, and theclassification and proportion of official duty crime in the Law of Tang Dynasty.Meanwhile, I compare “six crimes of embezzlement” with the modern duty crime incriminal law. From studying the prevention of official duty crime in the Law of TangDynasty, I attempt to make the past serve the present.
