The shooting always happens almost instantaneously, so it is very significant to detect rapidly and automatically and locate the gun attacker in complex environments for the anti-terrorism and timely counterattack, as well as for avoiding making matters worse. Through the analysis of the sound source location technology combined with the sound characteristics of the shooting, it is the shooting signal detection device based on the microphone array and sound source localization system using DSP for the fast audio signal analysis that will be employed.Hardware platform design of the shooting sound positioning system includes front-end shooting signal amplification conditioning and acquisition module, DSP shooting signal processing module, and PC communication design module. The front-end acquisition module consists of the selection of a microphone, the design of amplification circuit, and the design of the filter circuit as well as the design of A/D conversion circuit. DSP core processing module includes the selection of a core processor, the design of power module, reset module, peripheral memory module and others. PC communication design module uses a universal serial interface module and network transmission module based on TCP/IP protocol, which provides a fast and stable data transmission channel. Meanwhile, the research also tests the work of the entire hardware platform on shooting signal acquisition in order to verify the reasonableness of the hardware design.The Software sector is designed centered on the initialization process of TMS320C6713, A/D module settings and communication modules. TDOA-based sound source localization algorithm for its fitness is selected from three algorithms for sound source localization.Its sub-modules including the voice signal endpoint detection, delay estimation, geometric positioning are also carefully designed and explained.The related algorithm are also simulated through MATLAB to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the algorithm.A concise and user-friendly PC debugging interface is also designed and used to test and condition the hardware and software of this system.The practicality of the system is verified through many researches concerning various types of factors that affect system performance and analyses of the experimental results.
