Since1970s, the islands and waters of the South China Sea are occupied and divided by surrounding countries, and the resources are exploited largely. The South China Sea presents the confrontation situation of "Six countries and Seven aspects"(Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Mainland China, Taiwan). The final solution for solving the dispute of the South China Sea is based on the compromise and cooperation among the "Six countries and Seven aspects" Therefore, to deal with the dispute and formulate the policy of South China Ocean, it’s very necessary to focus on the policy research for these claimants of South China Ocean, and summarize the appeals and proofs for all parties. This paper focuses on these five claimants of South China Sea (Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia).By summarizing and comparing the policies from these five countries, which includes the historical relationship with South China Ocean, the understanding to international law and basic appeals, the legislation on delimitation, and the policies and measures for South China Ocean issues, through the comparison, the policies from claimants will be simplified for China to deal with them separately. The key points of the thesis are placed at chapter two and chapter three, it is mainly about deepening, classifying and summarizing the policies from claimants, and lead to China’s countermeasures for dealing with the policies from the claimants of the South China Sea.For dealing with the dispute of the South China Sea, the claimants of the South China Sea, Asean(Association of Southeast Asian Nations)and International law become the elements which can’t be ignored, the appeals from the claimants should be paid a great attention when we construct of the strategy and countermeasure for the South China Sea. Only by doing this, we can take the comprehensive and targeted action for solving the issue of South China Sea, thus we can maintain our country’s national interests to the greatest extent.
