Zimbabwe is the largest number of African NGO, the most widely involved in the field, to play the role of one of the largest countries. As of1996, there were1,500Zimbabwean NGO registered in the official sector, in addition, there are still a large number but did not have a specific purpose in the official register of the NGO.1990-2000, Zimbabwe NGO has been rapid development, NGO in Zimbabwe’s social and political life and its role in the increasing influence became an important role can not be ignored. Then, the development of Zimbabwe and Africa governmental organizations What are the characteristics? NGO’s main areas of activity are there? NGO impact on the democratization process in Zimbabwe? Domestic research in this area is still basically a blank. Article intends to address these issues, analyze and understand the rapidly emerging NGO background and social conditions, the field of activities of non-governmental organizations, legal status and action features, focusing on the political participation of non-governmental organizations and the democratization process in Zimbabwe the impact to Zimbabwe as the starting point, in order to deepen people’s understanding of democratization in Africa.The article is divided into three parts:introduction, body and conclusion.Introduction section introduces the main topics of research methods and research ideas cause and significance, literature review and abroad, as well as to define the basic concepts of the article. Body part is divided into three sections. The first chapter, analyze and understand the historical background and development process Zimbabwe’s NGO rapid rise; Chapter Ⅱ, for the overall development of Zimbabwe and Africa governmental organizations were analyzed, focusing on the type of Zimbabwe and Africa governmental organizations, characteristics, areas of activity and legal status; the third chapter focuses on the political participation of Zimbabwe and Africa-governmental organizations, the relationship between the government and its impact on democratization.Concluding section summarizes in its entirety and the relationship between Zimbabwe and Africa governmental organizations and the democratization analyzed. Draw conclusions NGO development is a necessary condition for democratization in Zimbabwe but not sufficient condition, from a general point of view, the development of non-governmental organizations can empower civil society in Zimbabwe, thus promoting the democratization process, but due to their limited factors, Zimbabwe’s political and economic development uncertainties NGO played a very limited role.
