Analysis Of Village Cadres Leadership Behavior From The Perspective Of Transformational Leadership Theory

Leadership of village cadres has vital influence on the developing of a village. The ability of leadership appears as leadership behavior, which contains a variety of behavior. Based on the theory of transformational leadership, this paper selects village cadres from the town of SY in PD district in Shanghai as research sample to analysis those transformational leadership behavior and the influential factors. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis based on TLQ, the paper finds that the village cadres get higher average scores in the dimensions of "Moral Model" and "Personalized Care", which has no significant relationship with the village cadres’ characteristics. Lower scores reflects in dimension of "Goal Incentive",related to education significantly. And the "Charisma" has a significant correlation with work experience. This paper discusses the deep-seated reasons for the impact of transformational leadership behavior, then gives some policy recommendations on the cadre training.
