"Chinese Culture" is a comprehensive academic journal published in Yan’an during the Anti-Japanese War. It exists only a year and a half from February15,1940to August20,1941. While the themes of the articles published in the magazine are concentrate, and some articles play a policy guiding role in the construction of the new democratic culture, such as Mao Zedong’s "the New-democratic Politics and the New-democratic Culture"("On New Democracy"), and Zhang Wentian’s "the Chinese Nations’ New Culture Movement and the Next Tasks Since the Anti-Japanese War". This paper mainly divided into four parts:The first part is a summary of "Chinese Culture", and introduce its background and main content briefly. Then, the paper will divides the articles which published in the "Chinese culture" into three parts, namely, the national form, the marxism sinicization and the Anti-Japanese culture, and does a further research respectively. At last, the paper will points out that the "Chinese culture" not only plays a guiding role in cultural development in Yan’an and the whole anti-Japanese democratic base areas, but also has a guidance and reference significance in today’s socialist culture construction.
