This paper the use of literature, questionnaire, field investigation, logical reasoning, statistical analysis and other research methods, research on the development status of Jinan City, five institutions of higher learning tennis, and understanding of Jinan City and Colleges the development status of the school tennis, clearly the basic law of the development of tennis in Jinan City, institutions of higher learning, to master the basic characteristics of the college tennis development in Jinan City, and to identify the impact of tennis in Jinan, the development of universities.Statistics and analysis the following conclusions:Jinan City College tennis to carry out the most important factor, followed by the condition of the facilities of tennis, the atmosphere of the campus tennis, students’ interests, the degree of management attention. Jinan City College tennis is the lack of overall site quality, limitations, and impact of the development and popularization of tennis. More venues, colleges and universities within the compensation for the use and hinder the enthusiasm of the students involved in tennis. Jinan City colleges and universities opened tennis lessons are relatively common, but uneven teachers, and the overall standard of teaching is not high, can not meet the needs of students, the commencement rate is not high. Although college students interested in the sport, and sees it as a fashionable sport, but college students spending power, after all, limited, leading to the actual number of people involved in tennis is not still a minority sport.Recommendations:to increase capital investment in the sport projects, and a rational and efficient use of existing tennis venues and facilities; to strengthen the construction of tennis teachers, tennis teachers conduct regular training and evaluation in order to improve the overall level of tennis teachers; the introduction of more professional tennis talent, establish and improve the university tennis club, promote and improve the overall level of college tennis; to create a good college tennis culture, we should strengthen the promotion of tennis, pulling the enthusiasm of students to participate in tennis.
