A Study On Qingdao Beach Sports Tourism

With the development of national economy and society, sports tourism develops quickly in recent years to meet people’s logical needs. Beach sports tourism, as an important part to develop sports tourism in coastal areas, plays an important role in developing regional economy and promoting society harmony.Lying in northern China, Qingdao is an early coastal open city with rich tourism resources, especially beach sports resources; therefore, Qingdao has a blessing superiority in developing beach sports tourism. Speeding up beach sports tourism in Qingdao will surely be an active driving force to the city’s economical and social development.Based on such research approaches as documents and materials, and empirical analysis, also with the methods of macroscopic and microscopical analysis, and qualitative and quantitative analysis, this paper carries out a systematic analysis to resources, current situation and problems in Qingdao’s beach sports tourism. Then, with the help of SWOT method, this paper thoroughly describes the advantages and disadvantages in Qingdao’s beach sports tourism and also raises countermeasures and goals in post-Olympic era.Based on the study, this paper raises the following views, and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions1. As a newly emerging tourism item, beach sports tourism has a vast prospect in Qingdao. Qingdao has unique advantages in developing beach sports tourism, such as resources advantages, environment advantages, humanitarian advantages, and experience advantages.2. In developing beach sports tourism, Qingdao also faces competitive pressures from neighboring cities and provinces which also have the like quality in beach sports. Hence, Qingdao should vigorously develop competitive products and create leading brands.3. Establishing and strengthening people’s sense of participation, adhering to scientific thought of development, paying equal attention to exploitation and protection in social development to avoid environmental pollution.4. Strengthening infrastructures constructions, speeding up publicity, creating Qingdao’s brand advantages, promoting Qingdao’s international image and influence, and enhancing service level.
