The development of school-based curriculum "is an activity of curriculum development and a continuous and dynamic process of curriculum improvement which is done in schools by the faculty and students voluntarily and independently or co-operated with external organizations or individuals, orientated by the basic spirit of the curriculum outlines framed by the country or areas, on the basis of the specific nature, characteristics, conditions of schools as well as the resources that can be utilized and developed, aiming to satisfy all the requirements of students to study".①From the perspective of resources acquisition, this paper is dedicated to summarizing school-based curriculum cooperation modality into five categories, school-school mode, school-enterprise mode, school-organization mode, school-government mode and complex cooperation mode. Documentary research methods, investigation measures and quantitative study and individual case study are all used in this article to analyze the three main factors affecting the choice of the cooperation modality, and they are:the purpose of school-based curriculum development, inner resource of the school and external resource beyond the campus. Based on this, a choice model is set up which will take effect to help schools in different conditions and environments to find out the most suitable cooperation modality for their music school-based curriculum, to acquire the best resource allocation assembly and to explore the relevant curriculum in the smartest way.
