Project based learning is widely used in European and American countries’education of primary and secondary schools as a learning mode. In the1990s, thiskind of learning pattern was gradually paid attention to by education scholars in ourcountry, and introduced to our countrys education and especially used in the basiceducation in China in recent years. Project based learning as a way to take thestudent as the main body of learning,are being got more and more attention by thegeneral education workers.Based on the domestic research situation of the project based learning, in areasof basic education compulsory education junior middle school science teaching asthe research object, this topic attempts to focus on curriculum and project basedlearning, students and project learning, teachers and project based learning and wetries to put forward the implementation of the project learning way, to refine theteacher personal project learning practice understanding, to establish the projecttemplate learning practice, for the application of project learning in junior middleschool science teaching to explore.Based on learning theory to explore the project, in this subject I put forward theimplementation of the project based learning strategy, involving the project choice,project planning, project development, project work, project work communicationand project evaluation. On the basis of the choice of the students in Class Four, GradeSix has carried on the project of teaching control experiment. After the experiment, Iundertake to the student a test of the content and the experimental results wereanalyzed. Results shows that the project based on learning and teaching has asignificant influence on the improvement of students academic performance. At thesame time, by the questionnaire on the student science comprehensive qualityassessment. Evaluation shows that project learning can improve the ability ofproblem-solving and skills of ascension. To improve students ability incommunication and cooperation consciousness, creative scientific spirit also help.Innovation of this article is preliminary on the practice for a junior middle school science discipline to carry out the project based learning of basic processes, andlearning activities in the process of the project design, carried on the thoroughexploration. It proves that project learning in junior middle school science teaching isgood for the students to master knowledge and skills, more conducive to cultivatestudents ability of solving practical problems and it can meet the demand of eradevelopment for talents.In this paper I also reconsider the problems existing in the practice, and putsforward some counter measures and suggestions for further research.
