In recent years, with the expansion of college teachers team, the issue of college teacher’s values has got wide attention. To research the values of contemporary college teachers has urgent practical value and far-reaching academic significance. College teachers’values has rich connotation, and trying to deduce the connotation of college teachers’core values through the research of values’connotation, is the outstanding innovation point of this paper.This paper was written mainly by means of document analysis and questionnaire. In the first part, the theory of value and values are analyzed, mainly including the evolution process and connotation of value, and the connotation and function of values. The second part puts forward the concept of college teachers’values first, and then divides it into12aspects:political values, economic values, moral values, life values, interpersonal values, marriage values, innovation values, faith values, knowledge values, occupation values, happiness values, and aesthetic value. After the detailed discussion of the12aspects, author takes life values, occupation values and moral values as the key dimensions to construct the core values of college teachers, and then sums up the content of college teachers’core values, namely taking teaching as fundament, educating others dialectically, paying attention to self-cultivation, and achieving honestly. Then in the third part, the author designs a questionnaire to survey120college teachers on the basis of analyzing the existing research results seriously. Then identify the existing problems and dig out the deeper reasons.In the fourth part of this paper, according to the status quo of college teachers’values and the connotation of the core values, author explores suitable ways in the perspective of society, school and teachers themselves, in order to reconstruct their core values better.
