Teachers’ Language violence commonly exists durying rural middle school education, and this is quiteserious.Teachers’ verbal violence may cause students insomnia, rapid heartbeat, mood instability,etc,and itwould lead students to following negative emotions such as anxiety, low self-esteem, self-enclosed, lowself-esteem, etc.Furtherly,it would cause anxiety, depression and other psychological symptoms, To someextent, it may bring them the psychological shadow, or even develop to a psychological disorder, which isimpositive to maintain and improve the normal level of mental health.In this study, from an empiricalperspective, we explore the relation among teachers’ language violence,students’ self-esteem and mentalhealth in the rural junior school.Firstly, with the method of interview, we took group interviews and individual interviews respectivelyto220students in rural middle school of Henan Province. Through interviews, here only selected thegroups of ‘high verbal violence, low verbal violence’under research. Secondly, the questionnaires is usedin this study,which is conducted a survey of those students’ self-esteem and mental health,then collatesurvey data and discuss the situation of rural middle school students perception of teachers ’verbal violence,as well as students’ self-esteem and mental health status.Finally, this study proposed some related educationproposals.The research tools used in this study is Students’ Self-Esteem Scale and Mental Health Scale.Theresults obtained using descriptive statistics, independent samples T-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearsoncorrelation and other statistical methods of data analysis. The findings are as follows:First Language violence is generally perceively by rural middle school students and such overall levelis relatively higher.Second The self-esteem of rural middle school students were in the middle and lower level.Third Overall mental health of rural middle school students was lower and middle level.Forth Rural middle school students perceive teachers’ verbal violence which has significant differencesin gender and no significant difference in the grade and age.Among it, girls score higher than boys on theverbal violence.Fifth The self-esteem of rural middle school students is with significant differences in the grade, age,language violence extent and no significant difference in gender. The self-esteem scored of the7th-grade students were higher than the8th and9th-grade students. The self-esteem scored of the younger studentswere higher than the older students.The low verbal violence group’s self-esteem scored significantly higherthan the high verbal violence group.Sixth The mental health of the overall situation of China’s rural junior school students has quitedifferences in the areas of grade, age, verbal violence degrees,etc.Only there are some gender difference inhostile aspects and boys score higher than girls. The health situation of lower-grade students were betterthan higher-grade students. The mental health scored of the younger students were higher than the olderstudents. The high verbal violence group students scored higher than the group students of low verbalviolence..Seventh Rural middle school students’ self-esteem and psychological health are in different degrees ofnegative correlation, which illustrates that low self-esteem of students are prone to poor mental healthsituation.Among it, students’ self-esteem has a different degrees of negative correlation in the aspects of thetotal level of mental health, Hostility, Interpersonal tensions and sensitive, Anxiety, learning pressure, heartimbalance,etc. students’ self-esteem has no significantly correlation in the aspects of Obsessive-compulsivedisorder, paranoia, depression, maladjustment, emotional imbalance.
