Leisure Behavior And The Social Status Exhibition Research

With the development of society,now people pay more attention to leisure,and italso comes many different leisure styles. At the same time,different kinds of leisurefacilities also appear.In this condition,leisure became one of the essential part of ourdaily life.Meanwhile,the target of leisure also became from relieving from life stressto showing your social position.The symbolic interaction theory takes that everying in the society has asymboleic meaning,and this symbolic meaning is the elementary contents of thesocial interaction.So the symbolic interaction is also the social interaction.Sinceeverything has it’s symbolic quality,owning the owner of the quality also meansowning it’s symbolic meaning,so many people would like to choose a leisure style,toown it’s symbolic quality and to show their social status.Based on the symbolic interaction theory,this paper explans why people’s leisurebehavior can show his social status and how it shows.This paper also uses themethods of field interview investigation and document research investigation to knowwhat kind of social position the leisure behavior stands.At the same time,through theclassification of leisure behavior,we can get it’s symbolic characteristic,and to knowit’s social position.
