Long-term closure of the rural-urban dual structure and inequality in Chinese society, as well as the different influence extent of consumption culture, make the rural women and urban women’s body is different on the vision, the former have been labeled as fashion, sexy, while the latter is behaved for closed, conservative.But now some research suggests that the new generation of female migrant worker has become the positive "consumption subject":their appearance have been away from the local flavor, and they pay more attention to dress up, in addition to their status are still as farmers outside, they look the same as the peers. So, this will be the body of migrant rural change for the city the body’s psychological process is how to form? Body consumption and their identity between what concerns? It was just based on this, this paper launched related research.This research follows the train of thought "female migrant worker’s cognitive of body consumption--" female migrant worker’s body consumption practice"--"the conflict between female migrant worker’s body consumption practice and self identity ", taking the theoretical perspective of self-identity to explain the behavior of female migrant worker’s body consumption, using the case interview method in Changsha Z community specific in order to understand the formation process of social psychological of body consumption, and analyze the social classification, social comparison operation rule and the final shape of the self-identity behind it. At the same time analyze their body consumption practice under the influence of self-identity and the corresponding strategies they take in the face of the individual and structural restrictive factors. This study focuses on the two aspects of psychological and behavioral to analyze the construction process of self-identity of female migrant worker’s body consumption.On the analysis of body consumption and self-identification, the author thinks that female migrant worker’s attention to the t external performance of body, through daily skin care, hairdressing, beauty method, nail art, cosmetic, reduce weight, fitness even cosmetic and consumption patterns to protect and beautify their self image capital in daily life practice, this is where they obtain self-identification, group identity and social identity. However, they consumption to realize "self transformation" obviously depends not only on the practice of their action, and more is affected by the imbalance between their consumption desire and the ability of payment, daily life program and contacts circle limitation, facing the challenge of marriage and other individual and structural limits, which make the female migrant worker can’t rely on body consumption to rebuild a new social identity, leading to the dilemma of self-identity again.
