College students is the pillars of the country, they shoulder the important mission of theNational revitalization of the family name, and play an important role in the development of thegreat cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, the status of the ideal and faithof the college students directly related to the rise and fall of the country, as well as the future ofthe nation. University is a crucial period for college students to form their ideals and faithswhich can support the development of their lifetime. Therefore, it is important to strengthen theideals and faiths education of college students.Due to the traditional concept, ideals and faiths education work in the past regard theideological and political education work object as a pure object, and focus on committing to thesystem indoctrination of ideal and faith education, instead of attaching importance to theproblem of the acceptance of the education ideal and faith of college students, which resulting inthe low effectiveness of the ideal and faith education, and the educational purposes can not bereached. This research studies from the psychological perspective of the ideals and faithseducation of contemporary college students, takes the receiving psychology of the ideals andfaiths education of college students for a breakthrough, understands the research status quoabout the ideal and faith education at home and abroad through literature research method,collects, combs and concludes the existing research results, and thus puts forward the researchperspective and the content. Using survey method for quantitative analysis and summarizinguniversality and particularity of the object of this study from the results of the survey toenhancing the pertinence and effectiveness of the ideals and faiths education of contemporaryuniversity.There are four dimensions of cognitive-acceptance, emotional-acceptance, demandacceptance and method acceptance by studying and analyzing the collected datum from ourinvestigation which affect college students in the activities of accepting the ideal and faitheducation. Through the analysis of the above four dimensions, we can draw the conclusion thatdifferences exist in the aspects of gender,grade,discipline,political status,student leaders ornot during the ideals and faiths education of college students. Targeted optimization strategiesare put forward according to the emergence of specific differences, thereby improving the effectiveness of the acceptance of ideals and faiths education, and providing a new theoreticaland practical basis for the ideals and faiths education in college.
