The research of the influence of major sport events on urban tourism spatial is anew and immature field in the world at present.In order to research the influence ofmajor sport events on urban tourism spatial, this paper begins with the basic theory ofthe influence of major sport events on urban tourism spatial.Then discusses therelation mechanism between major sport events and urban tourism spatial.After that,analyze the growth mechanism,path and pattern of event tourism space. Based on theanalysis of the present situation of Formula1Chinese Grand Prix, this paper treats ofseveral possible countermeasures.The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly,majors sport event effectively promote the sustainable growth of tourists,greatly increased tourism income,the rapid rise of tourism brand image,improve thehardware and software of the tourism level.Secondly,although sports and tourism look as if unrelated.Sports and tourism aretwo industries that actually possess the internal harmony.Thirdly,according to the different of requirements of major sport event and urbanplanning,there are two kinds of development path.Fourthly,on the basis of the different of the participant,action system,requirement and influence,the growth stage of event tourism space include embryonicstage,primary stage,developmental stage and stage of ripeness.Fifthly,according to the different of major sport event,geographical location andother industries around event tourism space,it has five kinds of development patterns.Sixthly, Formula1Chinese Grand Prix effectively promote the sustainablegrowth of tourists, greatly increased tourism income,the rapid rise of tourism brandimage,improve the hardware and software of the tourism level.But there are threeproblems of Formula1Chinese Grand Prix Tourism Spatial. Motor sports culture inour country has not formed the core connotation. Motorsport activity system has notyet formed. The development of tourism product is unprofessional.
