Learning motivation, especially Internal motivation, has a critical impact on students’ learning. In this study, the writer designed a series of theme class meeting on career planning guidance according to the guidance pattern of experiential career which is based on the CIP theory. This research was carried out among280high school students from Guangdong Zhongyuan Middle School, and the Motivation and adaptation assessment test (MAAT) as a tool. The experimental design of fore-and-aft measure was adopted in this research.Through the theme class meeting on career planning guidance, high school students will have a proper and thorough understanding of themselves, scientifically analyse and grasp the social situation, and decide on their personal occupation orientation. And through a full understanding of their target college or universitie and the characteristics of their major, the students will have a clearer goal of learning, more interest on it, and a more active learning attitude. Eventually, we can reach the goal of stimulating and cultivating students’ learning motivation.The following results are drawn from this study:The experimental group and the control group have no significant differences in the fore measure in different levers. While in the after measure, both of the groups have have significant differences in the levers in skills scenes,social life scenes, self responsibility and required level.Conclusions:The series of theme class meeting on career planning guidance has a promoting effect on internal learning motivation.
