Motor development is an important part of human development, motordevelopment level and the development of cognition, emotion, and the body is inclose contact interaction in one’s life. Childhood is the most concern in motordevelopment period, the basic motor skills will get learning during this period. Basicmotor skills can be divided into locomotors skills, the non-locomotor skills andmanipulative kills. Galloping is one of the locomotor skills of action, exposure is theasymmetry of the first motor skills, is common in the game, dance and movement, isone of the important motor skills in children should be master. Teachers and parentsshould understand and know action is the main characteristic of this period, helpchildren to strengthen and improve the motor skills, cultivate children’sself-confidence, children form positive self-concept development, and for complexmotor skills in the future to lay the good foundation. In this paper, the author makes a research about the overall action and variousstages of the galloping action. There are428children aged from3to10from JinanCity in this paper, and the research uses the experimental method, literature analysis, video analysis, logical analysis and the mathematical statistics method. The researchgets the overall action characteristics of galloping action, the movementcharacteristics of each limb segment and different gender children have differences inthe motor development for galloping. Conclusions are as follows:1. The overall characteristics of the different ages of the children’s galloping isdifferent, the action goes toward a higher level as children are growing older, thedevelopment characteristics of each limb segment action is not the same, differentgender children have differences in the motor development for galloping.2. The whole action features of3-10year-old children’s galloping can be divided into four stages: children formed in3-4year old development of galloping movementsequence1-intermittent running;children formed in4-6year old development ofgalloping movement sequence2-clear distinction between front and rear legs;children formed in6-8year old development of galloping movement sequence3-continuous forward slip; children formed in8-10year old development of gallopingmovement sequence4-with rhythm, the smooth, continuous forward slip.3. Children aged3-10galloping in every limb movement development model asfollows:①development of leg movement sequence. Children formed in3-4year olddevelopment of leg movement sequence1-hind legs than front legs, children formedin4-7year old development of leg movement sequence2-hind legs fell beside thefront legs, children formed in7-10year old development of leg movement sequence3-both can be used as guide legs;②development of arm movement sequence.Children formed in3-5year old development of arm movement sequence1-on bothsides of the fixed, children formed in4-7year old development of arm movementsequence2-bobbing up and down, children formed in7-10year old development ofarm movement sequence3-back and forth.4. Gender differences exist for children aged3-10when doing the gallopingskills:①when children of different gender are developing their galloping integratingmotor skills, girls’ performances are generally speaking better than those of boys, butthere is no significant difference.②When children of different sexes are developinggalloping leg motor skills, girls’ performances are generally speaking better than thoseof boys, but there is no significant difference.③When children of different sexes aredeveloping galloping arm motor skills, girls’ performances are generally speakingbetter than those of boys, but there is no significant difference.5. The galloping of children as the growth of the age is more and more skilled, but not in accordance with the uniform development of the age. Based on childrendevelopment and age characteristics of the galloping action research and analysis, wefound that4years old and7years old are two rapid periods of children gallopingmovement skills development which is the development of the critical period of3-10years old children.
