With the transformation of our society and the development of the higher education, theeconomic society develops continually, and the populace’s cultivation improves continually,but some social problems have also occurred at the same time. At the present moment, thenumber of the vulnerable people in college has been increasing. Thus, the special vulnerablegroups among college students have formed. And some problems, such as the reduction of theideological and ethical quality, the frequency of psychological problems and the depression oflearning state followed. However, the appearance of all of these problems is, after all, theoutward manifestation of ideological problems of students. Therefore, the realistic issues ofmaking further efforts to reinforce and improve the ideological and political education ofundergraduates are to reinforce the ideological and political education of the vulnerablegroups among college students, to improve their ideological, political, moral andpsychological quality. The dissertation includes the following four parts:The first part is the introduction, which mainly elaborates the cause of putting forwardthe issue of the ideological and political education of the vulnerable groups among collegestudents and expounds the significance of the subject, which sorts out the research overviewof the ideological and political education of the vulnerable groups among college students athome and abroad, and which summarizes the research methods and innovation points of thethesis. The second part is the summary, which elaborates the concept of the ideological andpolitical education of the vulnerable groups among college students, which sums up the maintypes of the vulnerable groups among the present college students, namely, economicvulnerable group, psychological vulnerable group, learning vulnerable group andphysiological vulnerable group, and which discusses the importance of reinforcing theideological and political education of the vulnerable groups among college students. The thirdpart expounds the main problems existing in the ideological and political education of thevulnerable groups among college students and analyzes the reason of the existence of theproblems. The fourth part elaborates the principles and countermeasures to reinforce theideological and political education of the vulnerable groups among college students. This part is the emphasis of the whole dissertation.The principles of reinforcing the ideological and political education of the vulnerableundergraduates are put forward, namely, the subjectivity principle, the democratic principle,the distinction principle and the realistic principle. On this basis, it is put forward to reinforcethe ideological and political education of the vulnerable groups among college studentsthrough the exploration of pertinent ideological and political education methods, the creationof harmonious campus cultural atmosphere, and the establishment of five-in-one ideologicaland political education pattern of the vulnerable undergraduates, etc.
