Nowadays, with the further development of educational reform, the teaching ofelementary and secondary school is facing a new challenge in our country. What theeducational reform advocates is self-directed learning, inquiry leaning and cooperativelearning, and the transformation of learning styles asks teachers to do some more things.Teachers should develop students’ inner potential ability effectively, mobilize students’enthusiasm and initiative sufficiently, and change the students’ passive learning style andpursue their participation in class actively. However, some teachers of elementary andsecondary school have misunderstandings of students’ participation. For examples, someteachers pay attention to “form” but overlook “content”, some teachers would emphasize“grade” and ignore “development”, and some teachers stress “preformed” but neglect“generative”. All of those distort the real meaning of students’ participation. Effectivestudents’ participation is the process of combining behavioral participation with emotionaland cognitive participation. With the teachers’ guidance and students’ participation, thestudents have the access to development. Active participation is the students constructknowledge actively in learning, rather than accept knowledge passively.Subjective education theory is a dynamic and developing theory, it focuses on students’initiative, autonomy and creativity. The core content is to promote students participation inclassroom teaching actively, and to complete relevant learning tasks creatively. The paperintends to make a research on the effectiveness of students’ participation in classroomteaching in the horizon of subjective education.
