In today’s information era, autonomous learning ability has become one of the necessary skills for all members of society. That’s the reason why teachers of information technology course in high school place priority on how to cultivate students’ autonomous learning ability in this course.Aiming to foster students’autonomous learning ability, this paper firstly analyzes the current situation of the research on autonomous learning ability of high school information technology course. Then, the relationship between the cultivation of autonomous learning ability and the training of metacognition ability is discussed. Based on the characteristics of information technology course in high school, the current situation of information technology teaching, and the students’ current metacognition level, this paper puts forward the following six strategies to foster metacognition ability:1) designing study context to activate students’ learning motivation;2) employing task-based teaching to give students concrete aim to fulfill, thus to reduce their blindness in learning;3) putting metacognitive theory into class teaching practice;4) adopting "progress report" to strengthen self-monitoring process;5) using thought map during the process of knowledge review to stimulate students’ metacognitive experience;6) employing multi-evaluation to improve students’ self-evaluation ability. Moreover, autonomous learning mode in classroom teaching is discussed and put into practice.Research results show that: the proposed autonomous learning mode is suitable for the information technology class; it is feasible to cultivate students’ autonomous learning ability by promoting students’ metacognitive ability. |
