The traditional education are based on the lecture method,paying attention to infusing knowledge to students, so students are always in a passive position in learning, they are forced to accept everything from the teacher,which inevitably caused the students’creativity obliterated."The basic education curriculum reform program (Trial)" proposed by the ministry of education put forward that in order to change the curriculum tendency of paying attention to imparting knowledge, help the students to form active learning attitude, and make the students not only acquire basic knowledge and basic skills but also learn how to learn. To achieve this goal, we must carry on the reform to the existing mode of education, respect the subject status of students in learning, arouse their initiative and creativity in study.The trial teaching method proposed by Mr. Qiu Xuehua who is a mathematics teaching expert in China emphasizes independent learning, active participation and free inquiry in the classroom,he stresses that this is a method to develop students’creativity, and help the students really learn how to learnFirstly, this paper makes a brief introduction of the relevant theory of the trial teaching method, from its origin, development, essence, characteristics and its general teaching modes. Secondly, it elaborates the necessity and possibility of using the trial teaching method in junior middle school mathematics teaching from several different perspectives. Then, it analyzes the applicable conditions of the trial teaching method from the aspects of students, teachers and the teaching content. And then, combining with the practical application of teaching cases, it conducts detailed analyses and researches on the application of the trial teaching method of mathematics teaching in junior high school and the problems which need to pay attention to in the implementation process. Finally, by integrating the theory and practice situation, the author expresses some personal opinions on the practical application of the trial teaching method in junior high school mathematics teaching, at the same time, makes a few own proposals on the problems which existed in practice.It has great significance to implement the trial teaching method in junior mathematics for the mathematics education, mathematics teachers and the students. The study of this subject adapts to the requirements of the current education reform, and it is expected to form a positive impact on junior mathematics teaching.
