The reform of curriculum is one of the most important part of education reform. Only by practice and summary constantly can get the periodic answers. The answer is still in an era of torture, it needs to revise and adjust constantly, and education improvement largely depends on how to listen to the students. Therefore, this paper aims at studying the situation of high school chemistry text books in China from the perspective of students, and collecting the Chinese students’proposal about the current situation of Chemistry Textbook. According to the suggestions made by students, compared with situation in the foreign mainstream teaching materials, and get some conclusions, I hope these conclusions can provide some reference and enlightenment for our textbook writers.This study consists of the following six components:The first part is preface, it discuss the international and domestic background of the research, and elaborate the idea of the question and the content and method of research.The second part is the review of the literature, it expounds the literature related to the chemical materials and chemical environment.The third part describes the theoretical basis for the research——constructivist learning theory, situated cognition and learning theory, transfer theory.The fourth part is the focus of this article, investigation and analysis of high school chemistry textbook scenario from the student’s point of view. The investigation includes middle school students’ reading situation of chemical textbooks, the basic emotional condition to the situation of chemistry textbook, the level of interest to different types of situations in the chemistry textbook and their suggestions.The fifth part is a comparative study of our middle school chemistry textbook (PEP) between "Chemistry:Concept and Applications". The content of comparison includes four aspects:The number of situation, the quantity and quality of the picture, life-oriented experimental condition, situational setting when introducing the knowledge.The sixth part is the conclusion, it summarizes the investigation of Chinese middle school chemistry textbook’ situation and the conclusion of comparative analysis of the textbook’ situation:1. Most of the students agree that in the process of studying chemistry, if can proceed from his or her interest in the situation, is of great help to the study. Half of the students are interested in the situation of high school chemistry textbook (PEP).2. The top three situational types that popular in students are follows: experiment situation, chemistry history story situation, life events or experience situation. 3. Students proposed to increase the number of textbook’ situation, and make it richness and interesting, improve the quantity and quality of the picture, use the cartoon characters as the carrier appropriately, but it must meet the age characteristics, should not be too naive. The text should be lively and interesting, can create a pleasant environment for learning.4. American high school textbook "Chemistry. Concept and Applications" is worthy of our study and reference in the follow four aspects——the number of situation, the quantity and quality of the picture, life-oriented experimental condition, situational setting when introduce the knowledge.
