Basic Education IT curriculum standards (2012version) issued by the China Educational Technology Association IT Professional member of the Education in May2010. The promulgation of the Standard has a deep impact on information technology teaching in primary and secondary schools. The Teaching material, as one of the constructions of school curriculums, also develops rapidly driven by the document. Scratch is a new learning tool for children to train program, which has been introduced by many teachers, students and parents. With the support of the three course management policies, many teachers write multiple versions of teaching materials and school-based teaching practice relying Scratch. However, as a delivery vector, an important source of knowledge and learning tools of students, teaching materials are written directly affect the effectiveness of teaching. Therefore teaching materials should follow certain rules and principles. In this thesis, we use the School Curriculum, Children’s creative digital culture course, of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Preparatory School, and Wuhan state-compiled textbooks of fifth grade Information Technology material for the study. Author selects computer programming module part of the two materials in primary school for comparative study. By dividing comparison categories, extracting and calculating information in the category of two sets of materials. The author compares and analyzes the content, layout and modes of presentation of the two materials detailedly.By comparing the content of teaching materials, the school-based teaching material compared to Wuhan state-compiled textbooks, where contains more types of the program thinking, and enhance the students’ understanding to key knowledge by the way of hard training. Two sets of textbooks pay attention to the cultivation of students’ logical thinking and creative thinking in computer programming module. In the presentation of comparative materials, two sets of textbooks have followed the development of the law and discipline system of subject, the knowledge sorts from easy to difficult, but the school-based materials more emphasis on combination of ease and difficult between chapters. Combined with other disciplines, school-based teaching material improves the students’interest in learning, and resolves the difficulty of programs. In terms of presentation of materials, Wuhan state-compiled textbooks’writing style is closer to the level of physical and mental development of primary students, and school-based materials’learning columns section clarity and clear. In this paper, the above study found that school-based teaching materials and state-compiled textbooks, in the content, layout and modes of presentation, each with advantages and disadvantages. The author proposes that preparation of IT teaching materials should consider thinking development, difficulty of textbooks, curriculum integration and other factors. Finally, provides a reference of proposals to the preparation of IT teaching materials.
