The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of3-6years old children’s androgyny education in Wuhan and discuss the factors of affecting the development of children’s androgyny personality. The study mainly uses the method of measurement and questionnaire. It selects the junior, middle and senior class of two kindergartens, totally160children as the subjects of the study.It meantime selects the corresponding teachers and parents as the subjects of questionnaire, respectively.Firstly it uses the revised Bem sex-role Inventory to measure the subjects and get the distribution of children’s gender role types, focusing on the analysis of androgyny individuals. And it analyses the correlation of children’s gender, age and the distribution of children’s gender role types by using SPSS software. Secondly it investigate the teachers and parents by using self-made questionnaire to get the total score in children’s androgyny education. Then it can get that whether teachers and parents possess the consciousness and behaviors of androgyny education by analyzing the scores of teachers and parents. In addition the study analyses the main forms of teachers’organizing the gender role education and the parents’expectations to children’s personality through the questionnaire. We get the results of the study are as follows.1.Among the children investigated, the androgyny individuals accounted for31.6%in junior class,86.5%in middle class and57.4%in senior class. The proportion of androgyny individuals is influenced by social culture and adults and it gradually decreases along with the age growth. The development of children’s gender role types has nothing to do with children’s gender, but has significant correlation with children’s age.2.The mean score of teachers in children’s androgyny education is0.417, overall they behave well and most of teachers have correct concept of androgyny education, but they lack of theoretical and systematic method. The mean score of parents in children’s androgyny education is just0.042. The study also shows that parents have flexible and androgyny tendentious expectation of quality, but they don’t have the concept of androgyny education. The performance of their gender roles education contradicts with their expectation of quality. It makes clear that the parents are urgent to change their traditional concept of gender role and use the correct concept of androgyny education to guide their home education.3.Children’s distribution of gender role types don’t have significant corelation with the score of teachers’androgyny education, but it have significant corelation with the score of parents’androgyny education. It reflects that parents have import influence on children’s formation of androgyny quality, and we can’t ignore the influence of teachers.At last, we put forward the proposals of children’s androgyny education from social propaganda, teachers and parents these three aspects.
