Because the concept of Chinese skimming teaching was proposed much later, the relativetheories about Chinese skimming teaching haven’t been perfected. Now the general teachersand students haven’t attached much importance to Chinese skimming teaching, which isespecially apparent in senior high school.The definition of relative notions about the skimming teaching is the basic requirement ofconducting the language skimming. Only with the right definition can the proposal of therelated problems of Chinese skimming teaching in senior high school have the theory basis.The problems in the teaching of Chinese skimming in senior high school are as follows: thefirst is intensive reading of skimming teaching; the second is the casualness of skimmingteaching and the third is the omission of skimming teaching. And the reasons for theseproblems are varied. There are three main reasons in school, which are theory with slowupdating, taking a fancy to scores and admissions rates and paying no attention to theteachers’ training. As for teachers’ abilities: the inadequate theoretical accomplishment, oldteaching ideas and methods, teaching ability needing to be improved and the low enthusiasmof teachers’ learning. The reasons about students: the lack of interests in reading, not spendingenough time paying attention to skimming and students’ lack of reading leads to theirignorance of the advantages of skimming teaching. In addition, there is also the influence ofthe exam-oriented educationThe fact on the Chinese strategy in senior high school should firstly follow a series ofprinciples, which include the teachers’ guidance and the student-centered principle, theadaptation to the characteristics of the students’ body and mind, ability training, the principleof matching and skimming properly. At the same time, the implementation of teachingstrategy should run the whole process of Chinese skimming teaching in senior high school,including the overall preparation before class, guiding the students’ practical preview,designing the abstract and concise teaching aims. During the classroom teaching stage,teachers should check the students’ preview by discussing and communicating with others.Teachers should also create problem situations to lead in and use more flexible and variedteaching methods. Teachers should pay more attention to emotional experience in lead-in.Class exercises focus on the practical training. The evaluation and reflection after class should focus on ability and put students as the main body. Meanwhile the reflection on Chineseteachers’ abilities of skimming practice and other strategies should be improved immediately.
