Research On Socialism Core Values Cultivation In The Contemporary University Student

At present, our country is in a critical period of social transition, while striving to build a well-off society. Therefore, the social values of contemporary college students are affected by various ideological trends that led to negative aspects such as:the weakening of beliefs, overemphasizing of one-self, blurring of values and the utilitarian view.College students are the future of our country and the hope of our nation, thus to guide them to establish the correct socialist core values is the fundamental task of universities’ideological and political education. The key of universities cultivating college students’value is to educate and instruct students to establish the socialist core values, develop their ability to distinguish right from wrong and the capability to choose the right value system. This will help college students firmly establish the socialist core values, break the value confusion, and prevent them from losing themselves in the diversification of values.Therefore,the cultivation and research on college students’ socialist core value play an important role in strengthening and imptoving the students’ value education,as well as in practicing the socialist core values.This thesis first introduces the purpose and singnificance of the research on socialist core values,current status of research methods and ideas both in China and abroad. The second chapter introduces main concepts as:value,core values.It also covers the analysis on socialist core value system and socialist core values;futher reveals contemporary college students’personal core value requirements.Chapter Ⅲgives a systematic analysis on the practice of core values of college students and displays the internal and external reasons that are affecting them.On the basis of previous research,chapter Ⅳ puts forward several measures,including the guiding ideology,main principles and effective approaches in cultivating college students’socialist core values.Therefore,strengthening the cultivation and research on comtemporary college students socialist core values can help to deepen the universities’study in socialist core values.futher enrich and improve the educational theory of college students’values.
