The School Characteristics Research Of Primary School Attached To Hunan Normal University

According to the Chinese education and development program, primary schools and junior high schools should be run with their own characteristics, which has become an inevitable trend for us to deepen the current educational reform. The teaching content of a specialist school, its taste, formation process, pattern research, and its promotion are a complex subject and it is related to many aspects including the school’s orientation, moral education, teaching process, teaching and research, the teachers’professional development and the cooperation of teachers and parents. After sorting out the school’s history and its currrent performance, the author, a manager of a primary school,has analyzed and studied the school-running characteristics of the Attached Primary School of Hunan Normal University in this thesis.After looking back to the school’s60-year history, the author uses the case study method to analyse the achievement that the school has got in the21century in various aspects from moral education, teaching process, teaching and research. Some meaningful conclusions have been drawn. Meanwhile, by analyzing a wide range of documents, the thesis shows us the real situation of school’s characteristics at home and abroad and its development tendency, which provide both the theoretical and practical support for the theme. The research shows that the Primary School attached to Hunan Normal University has already formed its own characteristic in the aspect of the accurate school orientation, the efficient moral education and the scientific teaching and research.The paper gives analysis about the content, and put forward some solutions based on the regional distinguishing feature, historical tradition, the location and strengthening "attached"to improve the level of teaching.
