Recently, five-year higher vocational education develops quickly,to keep up with the trend of popularization of higher education.It helps build the vocational education system, make the project of teaching, improve the convergence between the middle and higher vocational education, and train a large number of excellent people,who contributes to the development of economic in our society a lot. With the development of five-year higher vocational education,different sitution shows up in different places and some problems are also coming to the light. I using literature, survey method, and induction, to review the development process of Chinese five-year vocational education, in parts of the five-year higher vocational development present situation, sum up the characteristics of five-year higher vocational education. Based on the five-year vocational problems, analyze the causes and put forward some suggestions.Full text consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction. It expounds the selection of the topic, research status, the purpose and significance of the study, the research ideas and methods, and theoretical basis.The second part is the connotation and development of the five-year higher vocational education. The connotation states from the concepts and types. It gets in touch with the processes of five-year higher vocational education from1983and finds out the understanding of improving five-year higher vocational education.The third part is the present situation and the characteristics of the five-year higher vocational education. It sums up the characteristics from the scale and policies of jiangsu, zhejiang, hubei, anhui, Beijing, tianjin, shaanxi, yunnan, guangdong, guangxi and so on, which is wide coverage,diversity, streamline, moderate scale of its enrollment, connecting with the undergraduate education. The fourth part is about the problems existing in the five-year higher vocational education. Based on the present situation and characteristics, it analyzes the problems existing in the five-year higher vocational education. And then, it analysis of the causes of the problem.The fifth part, some advices are put forword based on the above experiments. The first is improving the system of the modern occupation education. Second is the policy orientation, having a correct understanding of the five year higher vocational education. Third is to accurately locate the target with certificate system.Fourth is selecting professional with industry oriented. Fifth is to optimizing the teaching and practice. Sixth is the union, complementary advantages. Last is to strengthen the mechanism of management.
