Serve, as one of five basic technologies of volleyball, plays anincreasingly key role on modern volleyball. Especially, since the rule ofeveryball-everypoint came into being, more emphasis is put on serve with power. Theadverse tactics could be destroyed by mighty serve with aggression, and indeed, it cannot only frighten the opponents, but also inspire our own team member.During high level volleyball competition all of the world, the center of servemainly occupied by speed power, with the control of tactical goal area and placement.However, the integral strength of men’s volleyball team has an certain gap around theworld, and many reasons should take the responsibility for the gap. While the gap iscaused by the disparity in the link of serving factors or not, and affect the scores andrankings of the world men’s volleyball team, whether related to the competition process?This studies find the correlation of strength serve with the competition of the world’smen’s volleyball has become a kind of inevitable.In the present study, taking the final eight of man’s volleyball of2012includingBrazil, Russia and Italy and so on as object, the relevance between mighty serve andwinning a match was studied by the methods of literature, video statistics, mathematicalstatistics, logical analysis, expert interviews, and questionnaire survey. The team ofserve with force and strong aggression existing over the world indeed is proved in thepresent study. And because of the maechtig serve with aggression, the tactics of theother side will be damaged, which poses an obstacle to rival’s first pass and attack.Therefore, the assault from the rivals could be withstood effectively and the initiative could be strived for, which is helpful to organize more thorough system of defend andcounterattack, leading to our own team possessing the winning situation. The resultsfrom this research also offer the objective data and argument about relevance of mightyserve, The Scoring rate of Serves positively correlated with the men’s volleyballrankings, and strength serve and blocking were positively correlated with the backcounter positively correlated also; if one team do not take the consideration of service,can’t win, and do not have the characteristic of strength serve would not be possess animpregnable position.
