Platform Inertial Navigation System is a kind of navigation technology which ismature and has sophisticated structure. Because the navigation accuracy of thiscategory of system is high and able to fulfill tasks independently, so Platform INS ispervasively used in navigation systems of rockets, missiles, unmanned planes andsubmarines which have high accuracy and require special working environment.Because the INS technology has developed for several decades and become maturenowadays, it is difficult for researchers to improve the accuracy. Having consideredfacts above, this thesis focuses on analysis of relationship between factors whichhave potential influences on navigation accuracy and performance platform system,aiming to obtain judging method used to access the performance of different systems.Finally, provide basis for reducing navigation error.Firstly, this paper has analyzed and deduced the error model of Platform INS.Having considered the research object, this paper has established entire error modelsof accelerometers, gyroscopes and vehicles’ velocity, attitude and position. Then thisthesis has designed a series of tracks which are similar to the ones in practicalenvironment with the help of track generating software. These tracks are used in thesimulation of system error.Secondly, the paper has completed a research on analytical relation betweensingle performance index and comprehensive performance evaluation index. Thendeduced analytical expression between single error coefficient and navigationperformance and confirmed whether the error models are applicable in performanceevaluation method by using simulation.Subsequently, this thesis has made a multitude of simulations to obtain curves ofrelations between single error coefficients and navigation performance. Then, thischapter gains the error contributing proportion of each single index when indexfluctuates in value area.Finally,the last chapter has gained navigation error caused by different errorresources in different tracks, and used the method of support vector machines to traincurrent statistics, eventually fulfilled comprehensive performance judging method forPlatform Inertial Navigation Systems.
