With modern society’s growing information, digitization and networking,information security directly affects personal privacy, trade secrets and nationalsecurity, and information security becomes more and more important. As a core partof information security, password-chip is applied more widely. However, the attacksagainst these chip are increasing, so how to keep key chip away from physical attacksand protect its sensitive information has become a hot spot of present research.The paper describes the means of physical attacks, and discusses the currentsituation of the protection against physical attacks. Based on analysis of the physicalmechanisms of the physical invasive attacks, this paper presents a security chipsystem against physical attacks for the current deficiencies in the protection methodsof physical invasive attacks, and discusses its key technologies, such asthree-dimensional package, security chip against physical attacks andhigh-performance batteries. In the paper, three-dimensional package is designed andprocessed using low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology, and its metalwiring network is used to improve detection efficiency. Security chip against physicalattacks, including metal wiring network detection circuit, the photosensitive sensorcircuit, temperature sensor circuit, Glitch sensor circuit, and other functional circuitsis designed, simulated and verified in SMIC0.18um process. The paper alsointroduces how to select and design the high-performance battery and relatedexperiments of the selected battery.The test results show that the security chip against physical attacks can detect thedrilling attack of less than1mm, light attack of less than500mlx, temperature attackof less than-55℃and higher than140℃, and power Glitch attack of0.6V-0.3us. Inorder to verify the protection effect of security chip against physical attacks, areal-time demo verification system, including hardware verification system and thehost computer presentation software is built. The hardware part of demo verificationsystem is used to collect, and deal with warning information of security chip, and thehost computer is to display the current status of security chip.
