Design And Implementation Of A Private Network Short Message Center

Short message is a kind of new business in the field of mobile communication, The original short message service consolidated the mobile phone and BP machine, can be very convenient for mobile phone users to directly send and receive text and numbers with mobile phones. Short message center (SMS) is used to storage and forward short messages. Short message center abide by a standard protocol, communicates with other mobile devices to support initiating and receiving of the short message of mobile phones.At present the public telecommunication network is hard to meet the special needs of some mechanisms, such as data transmission security, speed etc. Secondly, some special demand fees of the public net are expensive. In order to meet mechanisms’own needs and reduce communication cost, most of the enterprises and schools choose to build their own private network. In this context, the paper put forword to design a short message center and conncet it to the private network by the special gateway, so that it can handle short messages of the entire network and achieve the short message value-added service of the special network.The paper bases on the3GPP protocol, through the analysis of the network structure of the short message business in GSM, raised the network frame of private network short message center and the transceiver mode of the short message business. In the same time, the paper analyesed and summarized network structure of the Short message center in3GPP23.040protocol meticulously, and finished the overall design of the system and the module division through it. And then designed and realized the core module, completed the code through C programming.Short message service processing module is the emphasis and difficulty, design of this module used the finite state machine, VOS interface, SOCKET and multithreading technology etc, realized sending and receiving of the short message and long message, supported the multi-user processing, realized the SOCKET Interactive of the short message center with the special gateway, finished the whole system design work.The short message center designded in this paper has been put into use, as the value-added services of Femto project of panda mobile broadband communications R&D department.
