Development Techniques And Tools For Safety-Critical Embedded Software Based On ISO26262

With the rapid growth of information and electronic technology, the embedded products are more and more widely distributed, the function of embedded systems is increasingly complicated, and the safety critical fields are becoming more and more. Therefore, much research on safety has been carried out in the embedded domains recently. Therefore, it’s urgent to design a safety-critical embedded system.Based on the requirements of embedded software systems and the ISO26262standard, this paper proposes the targets of a secure and general-purpose embedded software system. After a deep research on the techniques and methods, this paper mainly focuses on the following topics:1) Design a methodology based on ISO26262. This paper analyzes the standard, and applies the safety lifecycle and safe software development method to this methodology, and conforms to the referred requirements and recommendations.2) Propose a layered architecture of development process, which we draw experience from model-based software development and the AUTOSAR methodology, which shows the superiority of easy maintainability and low coupling. It consists of five layers:architecture layer, logic layer, runtime environment layer, mapping layer and implementation layer, which provides high efficiency and lowers the complicity of later development.3) Propose a method to support different hardware platforms. Based on Eclipse plug-in and extension techniques, we have each ECU manage its own modules, which makes it easier to support multiple hardware platforms.4) Implement the methodology and apply it to the automotive electronic field and micro-satellite field.
