| The object of this paper is the China’s national image constructed by the Photo News of the news section of "People’s Daily" in2000-2010.Selecting this object is based on the era of globalization and Visual Culture, and national image as the country’s soft power is paid more attention by the State.From May2011to May2012, The author took the pictures of the Photo News of2000to2010"People’s Daily" in the southwest University Library and saved them. Stratified systematic sampling method to extract1843picture, pictures Source, shooting angle, Scene, image content attributes, reproduction topics, regions, tribes, the expressions of the characters, eight elements of the categories constructed by analyzing summarize the Photo News construct a "peace","harmony","developing" active pursuit of a modern great power image.As the party’s "eyes and ears mouthpiece", People’s Daily has it’s own logic to shape the image.
