With the technological development and the growth of per capita GDP in China, the cars have been used widely. The amount of car ownership in major cities is very large, combined with an average annual increasing, resulting in traffic jams, difficulty of parking and other social problems, which becomes prominent increasingly. The modern parking lots with high-tech features come into the lives of residents with the high speed of urban road construction. The modern parking lots develop towards large-scale and three-dimensional, while the mainstream of the development direction is the intellectualization. Parking detection system is an important part of the intelligent parking lot. It can make the parking more convenient, fast and efficient and can provide Parking Guidance by offering parking information.In this paper, the design of the parking detection system is mainly composed of three parts:(1)parking acquisition module:This section achieves parking information collection by using a high-precision Ultrasonic Ranging Module HC-SR04with the smallest single-chip system.(2)parking information transmission:This paper presents the using of Zigbee wireless communication technology to achieve the transmission design of the parking information.It points out the advantages of ZigBee technology to transfer data, and gives details of the content for the ZigBee technology to build a wireless sensor network through analyzing the deficiencies of the existing parking data transmission. Then it describes the design process of the data transmission by utilizing ZigBee technology for the system.(3)parking information show:This section designs computer interface platform using Visual Studio2010software, whose daemon is written in C#. The platform receives the ZigBee coordinator data via RS-232serial communication, and its main features mciuae parKing spaces wun une tatus display, parking spaces occupied/remaining number of statistics and so on.The article uses oscilloscope to collect the ultrasonic echo signal data and uses erial debugging assistant to verify the correctness of the sending and receiving data or Zigbee network. The experimental data shows that the ultrasonic parking detector las high precision and accurate parking information collection; The data transmission of Zigbee wireless sensor network is accurate and reliable. The successful operation of the system offers a more convenient design for parking spaces induced.
