With the benefits of fast reading, high quality of the signal, large read range, UHFRFID systems have been applied to various applications fields. Such as logistics,transportation, collection, electronic ticket, etc. However, during the implement ofUHF RFID system in applications, UHF RFID not only shows the technicaladvantages, which bring a lot of benefits to human beings, but also exposes thetechnical defects. Correct collection of tag data is one of the main technicalcontroversial issues, which hampers the further promotion o f UHF RFID technology.In this paper, the technology related UHF RFID seamless identification is researchedand analyzed.After the analysis of the UHF RFID seamless identification technology progress inresearch, and according to two UHF RFID system performance evaluation factors, themain factors affecting the performance of UHF RFID system are analyzed. And then,some detailed analysis and experimental simulations for some key factors, and aseamless recognition algorithm is developed for the applicatio n of large number of tags.At last, the key issues affecting UHF RFID system performance, as well as furtherresearch directions are summarized. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the paper describes the research background and significance of the UHFRFID seamless recognition technology, and then discusses the development directionsand research progress of UHF RFID seamless recognition technology.Secondly, on the basis of the description of the three UHF RFID systemperformance evaluation factors, the various factors which affect the performance ofUHF RFID system are focused on. And the specific impact of various factors onsystem performance is analyzed.Thirdly, due to the existence of blind spots in the simple antenna application,which is approved experimentally, multi-antenna could improve the performance ofUHF RFID systems, and an antenna control algorithm is developed for multi-antennaapplications, which can improve the performance of UHF RFID system. Fourthly, against of a large number tags, or dense tagging applications, UHF RFIDseamless identification algorithm is studied. Through the establishment of amathematical model, the effect of tag number to UHF RFID system performance isanalyzed. A seamless recognition algorithm is developed for the application of largenumber of tags, which could improve the performance of UHF RFID system, and thedata and performance are analyzed through specific experiments.Lastly, the contents of the work completed in this paper are summarized, and atthe same moment, the research and optimization directions of UHF RFID seamlessrecognition technology are discussed.
