Nowadays, energy conservation has become a focus of global attention,communications as one of the world’s fastest growing industry, carbon emissions isincreasing with its development, and energy consumption will become the obstacle tothe development of the network communication system. Therefore, energy conservationhas become concerned. To meet the challenges of energy consumption, reducing theconsumption of energy resources and improve the utilization of energy had become aninevitable trend in communications industry, thus, the concept of green communicationis proposed. As the mainstream of the next generation of communications technology,LTE had a lot of advanced technology, and there are also many researches in energysaving. According to LTE rel-9, this paper proposed two energy saving mechanismssuited to different scenes.A typical “tidal effect” was existed in mobile communication network, and userflow had significant fluctuations in terms of time and space, and presents someregularity. This paper first analysis traffic function of network, based on it we can adjustthe working status of the base station, making part of the base stations enter powersaving state when it is not needed, another part of the base station into the energy-savingcompensating state, in order to reduce energy consumption.In actual network deployment, adjacent cells don’t have overlapping coverage, andgenerally, the actual base station coverage is less than the maximum coverage, so wecan dynamically adjust the coverage of base station to improve network utilization.Select the optimal network deployment, and we need both take into account of user’ssatisfaction and the limitations of the base station power. When the traffic in BS is low,we consider closing some BS, then the user need to switch. Users access the highestsatisfaction BS. On the premise to guarantee the quality of user communication, wewant to minimize the system energy consumption.In this paper we designed two energy saving algorithms. The aim is to improve theenergy efficiency of network and ensure the quality of user communication.
