This system is based on the actual production of a institute needs, designed forimproving the efficiency of plate thickness measurement. The original thicknessmeasurement equipment using step motor as driving, cylindrical active measuringinstrument for measuring head and taken one by one single measurement way of plate,so the measuring efficiency is low and the rigid software design also enables the usercan not be based on autonomy need to select the measurement point. This system drivenby AC servo motor, with Keyence CMOS laser displacement sensor for measuring head,through two-way non-contact automatic measurement of the way and the humanizedmanagement software, greatly improve the efficiently of plate thickness and themaneuverability of the user.This system which uses the grade0marble platform as the base, precision ballscrew for transmission mechanism, with non contact Keyence CMOS laserdisplacement sensor for measuring head with vertical shooting mode, through the lasertriangulation method to achieve the plate thickness measurement, and the use of MPC08Motion control card to control AC servo system of laser displacement sensormeasurement position. Measurement data uses DL-RS1A for A/D conversion, and thenbe transferred to the host computer via an RS232serial port, then by host computermanagement software for measurement data acquisition, analysis, display and storage,eventually become the EXCEL data file is convenient for users to save and print output.This paper first describes research status at home and abroad on the measurementtechnology, and analyzes error sources and accuracy of laser triangulation measurementto improve the technology. Then according to the thickness of the non-contactmeasurement system user requirements, the overall design scheme is determined,respectively, further elaborates the hardware design, system software design, thicknessmeasurement system debugging and experiment results and the conclusion, andprospect. On the hardware design part, this paper main describes the marble platform,measuring head adjusting device, X-Y motion platform, the fuel plate holding device,X-axis limit device design. On the part of system software design, in detail the program design flow and motion control, serial port communication, data acquisition andprocessing, database operation and PC management software interface design, etc.Finally, through the commissioning and system debugging, verified the system complywith the design requirements, and run stable and reliable.At present, the user institution completed acceptance of this system work. In actualproduction use, the system performs well, has been fully affirmed by the user, and theoriginal fuel plate thickness measuring system has been replaced by this system togradually.
