In recent years, with the development technology of electronic information and the improvement of the intelligent electrical appliances, smart home is more and more popular by the people. People hope that they can through the network telephone or other tools to control all the appliance equipment in remote home at anytime or anywhere, living in a safty,energy-saving,comfortable,convenient home environment. With the development of communication technology, communication equipment is more and more perfect.The hope also gradually becomes possible. Today, telephone and mobile phone is popular in people,with the use of telephone equipment, realizing the intelligent home control system based on mobile communication network and the public telephone network is not only saving resources but also beneficial to the promotion.The remote monitoring system of research core is based on the telephone network DTMF signal,put forward the design scheme of network monitor system based on ARM, good human-computer interaction interface making the design more in line with the requirements of modern household,meet the demands of the smart home.Firstly the paper introduce the background and significance of the research,and analysise the domestic and foreign development situation of smart home,and a variety of different ways of home control;the topic of telephone network control of smart home is introduced in detail;The core component in the design is microprocessor S3C2440and the DTMF codec chip MT8880, through MT8880DTMF signal of telephone network transmission to the correct codec to achieve the purpose of the remote control.In order to realize the man-machine interface, The ARM9need to be transplanted the Linux operating system. This paper compares the Linux system with VxWorks, MIPS, Windows, CE operating system, analyzes the characteristics and advantages of Linux operating system. Introduced the software development platform construction methods of Linux operating system, the cross compile transplantation and cross compiler installation of the Linux kernel. In order to achieve touch screen interaction mode, the working theory of the touch screen and the driver is introduced in detail.Comparison of the interface design tool for various different, Qt is selected as the interface design and development tools, this paper introduces its characteristics, as well as the construction of the Qt development environment, including X11, X86and Embedded version of the Qt source code compiled and installed, the environment variable settings and the library file transfer to let the design running on the development board. The paper introduces the development process of Qt/Embedded application, and the application debugging and operating principle on PC machine and target machine.The whole system is divided into two parts, ARM main controller and MCU slave controller, the two parts’s mutual transmission of remote monitoring information is through the existing fixed telephone network. The detection signal upper ARM main controller sends control information by the man-machine interface and receives the slave controller’s sends; slave controller according to the host computer main controller ARM’signal to control the home furnishing equipment, and send the signal detected to the ARM controller.ARM host controller hardware circuit mainly includes the following modules: ARM main control chip and its peripheral circuit, ringing detection circuit, automatic hangup circuit, DTMF coding and decoding circuit; software mainly includes Linux operating system transplantation, touch screen driver transplantation, DTMF signal receiving, Qt man-machine interface. ARM main controller through the man-machine interface, the control signal through the DTMF coding and decoding circuit to be encoded into DTMF signals and be transmitted to the lower computer microprocessor controller, at the same time when the MCU controller transmits a signal, it through the DTMF coding and decoding circuit decoding DTMF signal into a binary signal, interaction so as to be completed the whole monitoring system information.The controller mainly comprises the following hardware circuit modules:the main control chip and its peripheral circuit, ringing detection circuit, automatic hangup circuit, the DTMF coding and decoding circuit, home furnishing equipment data acquisition circuit.Based on the fixed telephone network to realize remote monitoring information media, according to the characteristics of DTMF signal transmission and functional requirements, a comprehensive analysis and design of the software part and hardware circuit part, the final completion of the exchange of information and realize the functional requirements.
