Now, almost all colleges attach great importance on experimental teaching in the field of communication engineering and computer, it has been a very important part of college education. But as experimental class and student get more and more, the traditional experimental teaching model makes a higher requirement for the number of laboratory, experimental facility and teacher. Also, it lacks of flexibility of arrangement about experimental time. These contradictions urge the more efficient, functional and perfect experimental management system to appear and progress. Currently, most of the experimental systems at home and abroad are facing management of laboratories and experimental processes, like experiment reservation online, grade register, facility management, material downloading and so on, but it’s lack of research on the management of experimental process itself.This article designed one experiment management system for college, it can show the real-time experimental conditions of students and can also achieve grades automatically. It passed the test and can be used in colleges practically.Firstly, this article elaborated the research background and significance, and the research status at home and abroad, and the related key technologies. It emphatically analyzed the related technologies of this research such as SIP protocol, MySQL database, windows graphic interface development and so on. Secondly, it designed the overall scheme of the system, and divided the system into student control software and embedded experiment equipment, teacher control software, server platform three parts, and also analyzed each module. Thirdly, it explained the realization method of each module, realization of MFC framework of the two softwares, SIP communication method among the three modules, realization of communication between student software and embedded experiment equipment through the MSComm widget. Fourthly, this article took the video monitor experiment as example to introduce the designing idea and operational method of experiment, and also presented some referred technologies for video monitor, such as H.264encoding and decoding technology, RTP real-time transmission technology and DirectShow media play technology. Finally, through many tests, the results proved this system can be used in practical situations and show some advantages.
