During the ultrasonic wire bonding process, it has a great influence that the temperatureof the bonding surface on the bond strength. When the temperature is high, the physical andchemical properties of the material will be changed; when the temperature is low, it will leadto low bond strength or bond failure; only within the appropriate temperature range, and withcorresponding bonding force and ultrasonic power, it can be generated to meet therequirements of strength. Therefore, it is significance to improve the accuracy of temperaturecontrol of the bonding surface. In this paper, the design of dual channel temperature controlleris a kind of heating for preheating device of ultrasonic wire bonding process. It completed thehardware design of double channel temperature controller, implemented the establishment ofmathematical model about the resistance furnace temperature controller, studied thedecoupling control algorithm of the object, adopted segmented control algorithm, andachieved a precise control of the dual-channel temperature controller temperature andtemperature uniformity.The main work includes the following aspects:(1) The hardware design of dual channel temperature controller. Dual channeltemperature controller hardware design consists of two blocks, one is the design of controller,the other is design and installation of furnace. Controller contain the MCU part, power supplypart and temperature acquisition section, the zero crossing point output heating parts, alarmand display section. Furnace including sensor, heating rods installed.(2) The mathematical model of dual channel temperature controller. It is very importantthat accurately establish the mathematical model of dual channel temperature controller bothto the design and control engineering. From the thermodynamics point, the dual channelmodel can be got, then combining with the test method, the step response method of themechanism in the model parameters are identified, and finally using matlab tool, thesimulation verification.(3) The design of the decoupling controller. According to the mathematical model of theobject, design a decoupling controller. Using diagonal matrix method, which make mathemati--cal model of the object be diagonalzed, so that it is only controlled by one control volume,ma--ke the two way coupling circuit into a single loop structure, then using matlab simulation,veri--fy the decoupling effect.(4) The design of decoupled single loop controller. For the decoupled single circuit,singlesingle loop segmented controller is designed. It still has the characteristic such as non-linear,llarge inertia, delay for each loop, but using the segmented control can achieve good controleffect.
