In the process of signal transmission, the quality of signal is seriously affected bychannel. It is very important and meaningful to measure the characteristics of radiochannels. At the same time, it is full of challenges. In this article, a wide band channelsounding system is given. The channel impulse response is measured by the slidingcorrelation of the pseudo-random sequence at the receiver. The structure of the dataframe is constituted by the preamble and the data, which come from M sequence withdifferent period. The preamble is used for the synchronization processing of thereceived signal. The data is used to get the channel impulse response.The main work of this article is the study of the synchronization algorithm at thereceiver. First, a more efficient signal acquisition algorithm is given. Second, theGardner algorithm is used for time synchronization. Finally, the carrier frequency offsetis tracked by a phase-lock loop. After a series of synchronization processing, thechannel impulse response can be carried out.
