The theory of microstrip antenna and the technics of machining enjoyed fastdevelopment since1970s. They have been widely employed in radar, satellitecommunication system, mobile communication systems due to their superiorperformance. As an important offset of the microstrip antenna, Circular Polarizationantennas are broadly adopted in navigation system, radar system, satellitecommunication system. Currently, the investigations of the microstrip antennas aremainly about High Gain Circular Polarization Antenna, High Gain CircularPolarization Antenna, Dual Circular Polarization microstrip antenna, BroadbandCircular Polarization Antenna and so on. This paper has studied the elementary theoryand configuration design of the Dual Circular Polarization microstrip Antenna as wellas the High Gain Circular Polarization microstrip Antenna.Based on the research of theory on microstrip antenna, this paper expatiates theproperty and the design principle of the circular polarization antenna, exploring thefoundmental principle of the Dual Circular Polarization Microstrip Antenna Array andthe Circular Polarization Microstrip Antenna with High Gain Characteristic. Twomicrostrip lines are used to feed in two ortho-H-slots which is sloted in ground plane torealize the circular polarization radicalization. The result of the unit of the arrayantenna indicates that the axes ratio less than1.5dB and the gain more than9.5dBi at1.8GHz-2.53GHz. Then the paper designs the antenna array which includes8unites. Itis unites branch line coupler to the front of the array antenna to realize the dual circularpolarization radicalization. The simulation results indicate that the antenna can radiateperfect circular polarization wave at2.0GHz-2.4GHz.The paper studies a new Circular Polarization Microstrip Antenna with High GainCharacteristic to study the technology of high gain, investigating the affection of theaxes ratio and the impedance of the distance between the radiation patch and thesubstrate before making the feeding network on the lower side of the substrate andmake the ground plane. Antenna has been designed and simulated by software AnsoftHFSS before being matched and tested. The test results indicate that the antennaimproved the gain more than8dBi at1.86GHz-2.15GH, and the peak gain is9.4dBi.Then the antenna is processed and tested.
